About Mrs. Carter........ In 2006 I received a BFA in painting with a double minor in Art Education and Art History from UMass Amherst. In 2011 I earned my MEd from Lesley University for Curriculum and Instruction through the Arts. I was awarded the 2017 Elementary Teacher of the year by the MAEA. It was a fantastic honor and I was so happy to have my colleagues, former principal, college professor along with my friends & family there to celebrate! I've been teaching now for 13 years and absolutely love what I do!! My students inspire me everyday with their art, hard work, love and creativity. I'm so inspired by my artists I've written and illustrated a children's book, Happy Accidents that is based off our classroom! Visit www.amygreencarter.comfor more info on my book or to see my artist portfolio.
